If you are seeking to visualise what interior design best suits your home and you, try these seven applications that simulate the interior design from your imagination.

  1. ColorSnap:

ColorSnap is a new, integrated system of colours and tools that deliver the ultimate colour section experience. The new ColorSnap Visualizer easily matches the images you take to find the paint colours. All you have to do is tap anywhere on the photo and drag to find the desired Sherwin-Williams paint colour. This interior design app comes free for Android and iOS.

  1. Houzz:

Houzz is a website and online community about architecture, interior design and decorating, landscape design and home improvement. The Houzz platform and mobile apps feature photos, articles, product recommendations, and a user forum. Through this interior design app, we can browse photos by style, room and location and save them to your virtual idea book which is equivalent of clipping design magazines to a scrapbook, therefore, making ideas easier to search, save, and share. The Houzz interior design app comes free for Android and iOS.

  1. Homestyle interior design:

Home styler is a free iOS and Android app that bills itself as a “virtual fitting room”. We can try out different looks for our space by superimposing real products (3-D models of various furniture, fixtures, and so on) onto an actual snapshot of our living room. We can also share our ideas in the Design Gallery, and take a look at what everyone else is doing. It also allows browsing profiles and portfolios of actual designers in our area to ask questions and make connections.

  1. Curate:

Gone are the days when you have to intensely squint at a painting, drawing or lithograph and puzzle over how it will look in the context of your home. This interior design app links art sellers and art buyers in 3 easy steps.  Users take a photo of their wall, enter dimensions and use the in-app “sizer” for correct scale. Once this is done, users have a permanent record of their wall space. Users can then scroll through galleries that have joined Curate to see what they are showing. Then, with one tap, the App will take the user directly to the gallery’s website for more info.

  1. LikeThat Décor and Furniture:

Identifying individual pieces of furniture is now as easy as snapping a photo. It finds not only the model that you’re looking at but also others similar in style. Compare prices and save items to refer to later. What Shazam is for music like that is for furniture. It comes free for Web, Android, and iOS.

  1. MagicPlan:

MagicPlan transforms the painstaking ordeal of taking measurements and drawing up floor plans into an effortless process. Annotate photos of your space with the height of the ceiling or the width of the hallway, and never get stuck outside with a piece of furniture that won’t fit through the front door again. It comes free for Android and iOS.

  1. MyPantone:

Pantone is the ultimate color arbiter when it comes to disputes on whether a shade is turquoise or teal, they have the final say. The historic company put its standardized library of colors into a convenient app that allows you to accurately communicate your color choices to decorating professionals, designers and manufacturers alike. It comes at a cost of $9.99 for Android and iOS.
